The COVID-19 pandemic has been a very trying time for the veterinary industry. Since March 2020, veterinary hospitals throughout the province have experienced unprecedented caseload volumes and staffing shortages. We are keenly aware that spreading the team too thin is not only detrimental to them but also to the well being of our patients. As a result, we have made the following adjustments for overnight afterhours emergency care for our clients during the summer months.
Starting June 21st, Heartland Animal Hospital’s overnight after hours emergency care will be covered in some instances by Campus Estates Animal Hospital in Guelph, Ontario (519) 837-1214. Please call Heartland (519) 291-2060 and speak to our answering service to see if Heartland is accepting emergencies at our Listowel location or needing to refer to Guelph. Heartland Animal Hospital will open weekdays and Saturday at 8am.
